Definition of good practice

Study Tours

Study tours cover:

  • theoretical instruction on the functioning of national and local drug and HIV/AIDS prevention
  • visits to drug and HIV/AIDS projects
  • meetings with local authorities responsible for drug and HIV/AIDS prevention (magistrates, police, experts)

Target groups

  • drug and HIV/AIDS policy planners
  • key police authorities

While study tours may be restricted to one Good Practices site, we recommend visiting several sites to gain better insight into national and local drug control programmes.

Training

Training covers:

  • theoretical instruction on HIV/AIDS, drug addiction and programme-related issues
  • workshops - interactive practical training with elements of theory
  • practical training at Good Practices sites

Offsite Training

  • theoretical instruction on HIV/AIDS, drug addiction and programme-related issues
  • workshops - interactive practical training with elements of theory

Practical Tours (Internships)

Practical tours covers:

  • theoretical instruction: - the tour site and its functioning (preliminary to practical tour / internship)
  • practical tour - participation in tour site activities
